From the celebrated Vilmorin-Andrieux archive, 1850–1895.
A faithful reproduction of a hand-selected plate from Les Plantes Potagères — one of the most beautifully illustrated botanical catalogues of the 19th century. Commissioned by Vilmorin-Andrieux in 1850, the original lithographs were created by fifteen artists, including the acclaimed Élisa Champin, drawing directly from specimens at the Jardin des Plantes in Paris. Publication continued until 1895, resulting in 46 extraordinary colour plates.
This print brings that rare archive into your home — rendered in deep, luminous colour on 220gsm light ivory laid paper, with the weight and texture of a true naturalist plate. Each print is produced by hand in our workshop in La Rochelle.
