A rare and highly decorative original advertising showcard from the turn of the 20th century, promoting Keeloma Margarine. Dating from the late Victorian to early Edwardian period, this striking chromolithograph features a traditional dairymaid carrying a tray of margarine blocks beneath the bold slogan:
“Equal to the Finest Danish Butter. None Other Genuine.”
Originally created for display in grocery stores and provisions merchants, the piece reflects the fascinating period when margarine producers competed directly with imported Danish butter, using eye-catching artwork and bold marketing claims to win over customers.
With its rich colours, oversized typography and charming period illustration, this is far more than an advertisement—it is a remarkable survivor of everyday British retail history. Presented in a substantial wooden frame, it makes an impressive statement piece for a kitchen, dining room, café, delicatessen, restaurant or vintage-inspired interior.

Why We Love It
Large-scale antique advertising pieces of this age are becoming increasingly difficult to find, particularly examples retaining such strong visual impact. Combining social history, graphic design and retail heritage, this Keeloma showcard is a wonderful decorative piece that captures the spirit of Edwardian Britain and the golden age of shop advertising.
A rare and characterful statement piece for collectors of antique advertising, kitchenalia and vintage commercial ephemera.
